Privacy & Terms
LinguaVid keeps as little as it can. Here is all of it.
What's stored about you
- Your email address, to sign you in (and your name, if you sign in with Google).
- The lessons you've saved, when you last opened each, and where you stopped.
- The days you studied, for your streak.
- Your notes and the explanations written for them.
- The channels you follow, and the videos you've asked to have made into lessons.
It's kept in a Supabase database, readable only by your account. Display settings such as text size and theme stay in your browser.
What isn't
Videos play from YouTube in YouTube's own player, and nothing is downloaded to keep. A lesson is a video's transcript, readings and translations, made once and shared by everyone who opens it; it doesn't record who watched it. There are no ads and no tracking scripts.
Using the site
Lessons are for personal study. Videos and their captions belong to their creators, and playing a video follows YouTube's terms. Translations and notes are made with care but can be wrong, so check anything that matters.
